How my journey began
I started Streetscape Builders in 2005, but I built my passion for building much earlier than that.
As a kid, my grandfather owned Carolina Concrete Blockworks, building cement blocks. But when business was slow, they built those blocks into homes. Though my job was only to rake the yard, I remember watching in awe as they made something—what would eventually someone’s everything, someone’s home—out of nothing.
The first project they let me get my hands on was building our family beach house at Topsail Beach, N.C. when I was 18 years old. And as I helped put together the simple frame, we made small custom changes to the plans, and I dreamt of the bigger and better homes I wanted to make.
Now, whether starting with an empty lot or an existing structure, I use what I learned growing up to make people’s homes exactly what they’ve dreamt of, and I take pride in making my customers happy and the excellence of the finished product.
